Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

We all hear voices. One in your head that says, “Everybody loves Brent in HR waayyy more than you.” Or, “P.M.S must stand for Pretty Much Samantha because DAMN, girl!” It could even say, “Hey! Watch this movie The Voices!” And you know that’s what Josh and Steph did or this episode wouldn’t exist! If you’re looking for conversations about mental health, pets, the pronunciation of “Anna”, murder, and some real dark humor, this is the episode and probably even the move for you! We get into all of those conversational toppings and more so just give into your urges and dig in!

Pot & Plot Episode 34: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL! Tyler Perry’s Boo 2! A Madea Halloween

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot
Taxes! Bills! Donald Trump is still president! Sorry just trying to scare you since it’s our HALLOWEEN SPECIAL! “But Halloween was LAST week!” I mean, it can be every day if you’re about that spoopy life. And that is definitely the case if you like us partake in the addition to Tyler Perry’s Madea franchise, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween. The internet critics have alreadyshat alllllll over this so hard that even Roger Ebert’s ghost got in on it! Meanwhile internet goers are like, “Eh, s’alright” while they shrug and get stuck like that...FOR-EVER! So naturally Josh and Steph ventured on into the woods of Camp Derrick with Madea and crew to see what was going down. Steph swears this movie scared a few pounds off her...from scaring her silly! Muhahahahahahaha! Evil laughter!

Pot & Plot Episode 33: Green Room (w/ Ned Gayle & Billy Trim)

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

If green means go, then this episode goes HARD as we chat about the drama/thriller/horror movie, Green Room! We’re saying “chat” likes it’s some lighthearted convo. But guess anything could be considered lighthearted in the light of such a dark rollercoaster of emotions like this flick is. It’s a lot easier to get through such an exhilarating and somewhat draining film going experience with hilarious buds like our special guests, Ned Gayle and Billy Trim! Did Sir Pat Stew act the pants off this movie? How many times did we yell expletives? And are there unexpected moments that us prefacing them couldn’t brace you for? Yes and so much more on a gut slicingly funny episode of Pot and Plot!

Pot & Plot Episode 31: The Wrestler (w/ John Wayne Comunale)

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

Gather round all who dare and listen in wonderment as a tale of sorrow and gorey woe is discussed, The Wrestler! You might think we like Darren Aronofsky movies or something, right? In this corner, Josh and Steph join cool guy and special guest John Wayne Comunale at his chill ass house to record where he treated them to plant based nutrient bars and Topo Chico. And in that corner, there was lots of petting time with his sweet pup, Cerberus (who you may hear barking in the background occasionally) too! Enter the Library of Evil and join the conversation if you think you can handle all the ROUND N ROUND! cue song by hair band RATT

Pot & Plot Episode 30: Friday The 13th (BONUS EPISODE!)

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

Not only is it Friday, but it's that kind of Friday that only happens maybe a few times of year every year: Friday the 13th! And to commemorate such a momentous day, Josh and Steph decided to record a surprise episode about the classic slasher flick of the same name! It's one you've got to hear to Vorhees! That sounded better in my head.

Pot & Plot Episode 29: Mother!

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

Can you imagine if Charlie Brown said, "Oh, mother!" instead of "Oh, brother!" ? I mean, he didn't even HAVE a brother so it would at least apply to his life more. Anyway, oh, Mother! Darren Aronofsky said he wanted this film to spark a conversation, and do Steph and Josh have a lot to say about it! (Well, at least Steph does) If your sadistic "friends" have already seen it and are egging you on to see it too, you might be understandably on the fence. Or maybe you just DGAF about spoilers. You could also have seen the movie already and are just dying to talk about it. Whatever the reason, we're glad you are here to join us for our first new ep in quite awhile! Now sit back and enjoy what is certainly not a pressure cooker of rage as we discuss Darren Aronofsky's polarizing and intense new film, Mother! (Which Steph still has a lot of feelings about for the record)

Pot & Plot Episode 28: Ghost Dog (w/ Chuck Vaughn)

Posted by joshandsteph in Pot & Plot

The Way of the Samurai is a selfless one where you have to read books about it AND practice it. Which sounds like a lot of work to me but probably why there's no Samurai movie about me. Forrest Whitaker is mostly convincing as a Samurai but definitely convincing as a lover of books. He bonds with people over those bound pages, over ice cream, and an appreciation for pigeons so there's something for everyone! Which you see as we discuss it with special guest Chuck Vaughn! Especially if you're into racist old Italian men, a French ice cream man, a sassy well read girl named Pearline, and the GD Ghost Dog himself! This movie's ARF ARF AF dawg!
